Theme Park Survival Checklist
Landing in Florida is like waking up in a gigantic playground, and it’s all too easy to burn yourself out before the end of
day two! But if you plan ahead and consider the following pointers, you can all make the most of your stay.
- Plan your itinerary in advance - That way you can pace yourself, and get everyone in the holiday mood before you even leave the UK
- Allow ample time for each attraction - Give yourself plenty of time in each park, so you don’t spend half your holiday clock watching and hurrying to the next ride
- Don’t try to do too much - Rest on alternate days if you can - the parks will still be there tomorrow
- Dress comfortably - Florida isn’t about fashion, it’s about having fun
- Ask if the park allows free re-entry during the day - A lunchtime nap can work wonders for children
- Drink plenty of fluids - Children are particularly prone to dehydration in warmer climates
- Check the weather reports and take shower-proof clothes if it looks like rain
- Remember where you park the car - It might sound silly but the car parks are vast, and looking for your car isn’t the happiest way to end the day
- Avoid the mass exodus - Leave half an hour before closing time - if you can tear yourself away!
