6 Night Safari Itinerary

Day 1, Friday

Depart Mombasa for Kenya’s 10,000 acre Ngutuni Game Sanctuary. Following lunch, enjoy your first game drive. Dinner and two night stay at Ngutuni Lodge.

Day 2, Saturday

Enjoy a morning and afternoon game drive in Tsavo East. This is one of the world’s largest game sanctuaries, with lions, zebras, giraffes and elephants roaming the savannah grasslands.

Day 3, Sunday

After breakfast you’ll set off for Tsavo West for a brief game drive en route to Ngulia Lodge. Here you’ll have lunch before setting off on your second game drive including a visit to Mzima Springs, where an underwater hide allows you to view Hippos ‘moonwalking’. Dinner and overnight stay at the Ngulia Lodge.

Day 4, Monday

Cross the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro and stunning Shetani lava flows on our drive to Amboseli. After you lunch you’ll have a chance to spot some of Kenya’s largest elephant herds and enjoy the spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Dinner and two nights stay at Ol Tukai Lodge.

Day 5, Tuesday

Experience morning and afternoon game drives in Amboseli, Kenya’s first and perhaps most stunning national park, a favourite of early Hollywood film makers.

Day 6, Wednesday

Leave Amboseli for Tsavo West reserve. Spend this afternoon observing hippo in the nearby river or opt to join a guided nature walk. In the evening take a night safari in search of bush babies, porcupine and maybe big cats. Dinner and overnight stay at Ziwani tented camp.

Day 7, Thursday

Enjoy an early morning guided walk accompanied by the camp’s naturalist. Depart for Mombasa passing through the Taita Hills and stopping for lunch at Voi Wildlife Lodge en route. Arrive at your beach hotel late afternoon. Please note: we reserve the right to vary the order of visits, or provide alternative accommodation of an equivalent standard. Guests will need to check out of their beach hotel and will not be guaranteed the same room on their return as rooms have not been reserved and paid for during the 6 night safari.

Accommodation

We use a range of lodges across Africa. Each lodge offers standard rooms with private bathroom facilities. Some lodges offer permanent tented accommodation, which also have private bathroom facilities. Each lodge has a restaurant, bar and in some cases a swimming pool.

Please note: Due to the flight day being a Friday, guests travelling from Manchester wishing to book this safari must book as part of a 14 night holiday.
